Philip Espaldon is currently the director of the Pre-Anesthesia Testing Clinic of the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. A clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology for the University of Illinois College of Medicine, he is also the site coordinator for University of Illinois for the medical students who rotate through the JBVAMC.
Dr. Expaldon received his undergraduate degree in Communications Sciences and Disorders at Northwestern University. Afterwards, he completed medical school, anesthesia residency, and regional anesthesia fellowship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago.
A popular teacher among medical students and residents, as well as a highly ranked examiner, Dr. Esplaldon has been intimately involved in Oral Boards preparation since 2009. His major academic areas if interest and expertise include regional anesthesia, vascular anesthesia, and preoperative evaluation.
